Dr Hanna

Dr Ana de la Peña is our longest standing client. We regularly manage their website, generate occasional graphic design services, and did a full branding package that has allowed the clinic to move to a new, bigger location in Quito, Ecuador.

Client’s comment

Three years ago I found myself in the search to renew my commercial image.

I had received some offers, but I felt none represented me. It was a exhausting process since no matter how much I explained my activities and providing examples, designers were unable to capture what I wanted to communicate with my brand and to my patients.

However, it all changed when I started working with Eduardo from Inukshuk Studio.

He asked several questions about my business and the way in which I felt I communicated with my clients, as well as how I viewed myself in my profession.

He also presented me a colour palette and, in a blink of an eye, to express it somehow, my logo was ready: perfect colours and dimensions. The fusion of each and every one of my concepts perfect!

I felt profoundly comfortable working with him, timelines were well managed (which was something that initially concerned me because, as a doctor, I have little extra time), the workflow was fluid and the results fabulous. The aggregate value of their work is massive, at a fair and comfortable price; especially when compared to what I had invested in the past and left me unsatisfied.

Overall, I recommend their work to every professional who wants to capture their image with precision, that is detailed oriented, that wants to manage their time efficiently, and value their resources.

-Dr. Ana de la Peña M.D

Introduction

Cuban-Ecuadorian Medical Doctor, Ana de la Peña had been struggling with designers to capture her brand vision for years, going through several iterations and still finding herself not using the resources she paid for as they did not resonate with her.

When she approached us she had gone through 7 logos and 2 websites, spending thousands of dollars without any results.

However to us the issue was apparent, nobody had sat with her to understand her philosophy in medicine and the greater mission she had in mind: Educate patients to understand they have more control over their health, and that treatments should not focus exclusively on symptoms, but on the factors that make them erupt.

The project

We knew that, because of the trajectory Dr. Ana had gone through, the first thing we needed to do was clearly and explicitly define her brand. We started by proposing a persona, Hanna, memorable, more personable and a name to use as a symbol for her philosophy, rather than her own. We suggested this direction because we understood that her philosophy was greater than just her, it is a way of life, and as such Hanna would give her the flexibility and scalability beyond her personal identity.

With the name settled we proposed it along with what is now her current logo. A hand that represent the care and investment of her treatment as a professional. She is not a doctor that wants to be right about a diagnosis, she is someone who wants to work with each patient profoundly so they heal and are not enslaved to a treatment or diagnosis. Health, beyond temporary relief.

For the website it was simple, we had to communicate that patients had the power in their treatment, and that the goal is not to get a pill that fixes the problem, but understand what caused it, emotionally, physically and even spiritually.

Providing a space for blog posts to engage with the audience, a place for online workshop courses, and a simple booking system integrated with her calendar was all that Dr Hanna’s private practice needed in order to escalate her business. Although transitioning from a call in order to book, to an automated system took some time to get used to, especially for her older patients; within a month she noticed a busier schedule, decorated with bookings from new patients that were enticed by the trustworthiness her image presented.

We made it our mission to make her, as a professional, seem as approachable as possible, and for patients to know her and her philosophy of treatment.

Additionally to the website, we also design content for courses and social media. Although we are not social media managers, we do occasionally help with the content output in her platforms.

You can find her at @dra.anna in Instagram, Dra. Ana de la Peña in YouTube!

She currently does content in Spanish, for a Latin American audience in Ecuador.
